Set above Langs Beach with expansive coastal outlooks, this project involved a complete strip-back to framing, followed by a carefully considered architectural extension and full interior renewal. The transformation balances contemporary living with a deep respect for the home’s original character and material history.Existing rimu cladding was meticulously repurposed to form bespoke kitchen joinery, introducing warmth, continuity, and craftsmanship at the heart of the home. Decks were extended to strengthen connection with the surrounding landscape, while original bathroom fixtures—including the distinctive pink bath, toilet, and vanity—were restored through enamel revival, celebrating heritage rather than replacing it.The result is a calm, cohesive coastal residence where new intervention and existing fabric sit in deliberate balance. Cove Road (Langs Beach) reflects Green Build Projects’ capability in delivering architecturally led renovations that combine precision construction, thoughtful reuse, and enduring material integrity across Langs Beach, Mangawhai and the wider Northland coast.
